Shusssh follows sibilance against an adaptive baseline and applies frequency-selective attenuation with a bounded wideband contribution. Sensitivity determines how readily it reacts, Amount sets the strength, and Focus biases the automatic tracking lower or higher. Start with Focus at AUTO, work on a representative vocal phrase and compare at a similar output level. Use it on lead vocals, backing-vocal stacks, spoken word or a vocal-effects send when particular consonants distract from the phrase. Its detector is designed around sibilance; instrument squeaks and bright percussion are experiments to judge on the actual recording.
