Host integration
Setup reference for Bitwig Studio 5. Choose an actual published Fat Berry installer that the host can load. Product pages state current platform and format availability; this page is not certification of every product/host/OS combination.
Every active plug-in in this release ships as VST3 for Windows 10 or later, 64-bit (x86-64), and as VST3 and Audio Unit for Mac. Each product page lists its minimum macOS version. The install paths below cover Bitwig Studio on Windows and macOS.
Technical specifications, silicon architectures, and format hosting details for Bitwig Studio 5.
Use the host plug-in location and scanning controls; check any hosting or sandbox error in the host documentation.
Host format compatibility and an executed product compatibility test are different. Check the current product requirements and installer release.
Use the actual platform installer and the host documentation for your version.
Download the entitled installer for your platform from your Fat Berry account.
Run the installer; it places the licensed VST3 build in the system VST3 folder, plus the Audio Unit build on macOS where one is listed.
Open Bitwig and rescan plug-ins from the host preferences or plug-in manager.
Find the plug-in under Fat Berry DSP in your host browser and activate it in the branded licence panel on first use.
If Bitwig Studio cannot find a plug-in, check that it is in one of these directories and that the host has been restarted.

Use the host documented delay compensation and monitoring controls. Actual latency depends on the product and processing settings; do not assume every processor or routing path is latency-free.
Choose an interface buffer that gives reliable playback on your computer. Patch, sample rate, processing chain and monitoring route matter; no fixed buffer or instance count is guaranteed.
Tested troubleshooting procedures for plug-in discovery, automation binding, and cache rebuilding in Bitwig Studio 5.
Use the host plug-in location and scanning controls; check any hosting or sandbox error in the host documentation.
Record the exact host, operating system, product release and validation message. Consult the official host documentation or support before removing databases, preferences or security controls.
Chosen for what this host is usually used for, not because they are the most expensive.
