Taurus Chorus in use

Taurus Chorus offers Modern, Vintage and Ensemble models with three voice columns, preset and manual motion, stereo controls and a wet/dry Mix.

For engineers

How it works.

Give keys a sense of ensemble

Start on a held electric-piano or synth chord with a low Mix. Compare the models and raise Depth until you hear useful motion. Rate determines how quickly the manual modulation moves when that motion is enabled.

The PRESET and MANUAL switches are independent parts of the motion system. Turning Manual off does not automatically mean every source of movement is off. Compare the switches and voice columns deliberately before adding more depth.

Place backing vocals around the lead

On a backing-vocal group, use modest modulation and set the voice pans so the harmony surrounds the main melody rather than becoming another lead. Compare Width and the stereo options against a mono fold-down.

Choral Enhance changes each selected voice's character. Try one at a time so the result remains attributable to a specific change. The centre voice can carry a different amount of treatment from the outside voices.

Build a less obvious guitar double

For a sparse clean guitar, compare slower, shallow movement with a smaller number of prominent chorus voices. Use Mix to keep the original pick and enough dry pitch reference for the melody.

For a special texture, try stronger motion on a host return or a selected passage. Return to the whole arrangement before keeping it: the most impressive solo width may make a repeated guitar figure less definite. Volume is the final comparison trim.

Questions

Something else? Contact support

Does Rate always control all the movement?
The result depends on the preset/manual motion settings and model. Establish the active motion sources before judging Rate alone.
Are the three columns just volume faders?
They participate in each voice's modulation or static offset behaviour, depending on the motion settings. Use the separate Pan controls for placement.
Can I use True Stereo on a mono source?
Judge the supported host layout and the actual source. A stereo option does not create an independently recorded double, so always compare the centre and mono result.
What happens when the trial ends?
When the trial ends the plug-in stops processing audio until you buy it. Sessions still open, and buying needs no reinstall.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. On top of your statutory rights, there's a 14-day money-back guarantee. Read the refund policy
