FB-1080 in use

FB-1080 is a patch-based MIDI instrument with factory banks, expansion-bank support and an effects section built around EFX, chorus and reverb.

For engineers

How it works.

Find the patch in the arrangement

Audition patches with the actual MIDI rhythm and register of the song. A sound that impresses on a held chord may leave too much tail around a busy part; a smaller patch may fit better once bass, drums and voice are playing.

Use performance and note length to establish the part before adding more effects. Keep output volume sensible while changing patches so the decision comes from tone and articulation rather than a louder audition.

Treat EFX as part of the sound

EFX changes its available controls with the selected type. Set the effect for a specific task, such as giving a keyboard part movement or a lead more edge, then balance EFX Level and its sends to chorus and reverb.

The host exposes generic EFX slots, while their musical meaning follows the chosen algorithm. Read the current type's labels instead of carrying a numeric recipe from an unrelated EFX type.

Choose where the chorus goes

Chorus Output offers MIX, REV and MIX+REV. Sending chorus into the ambience can create a different space from adding a clearly audible chorus return beside it. Compare the routing with the part playing at its final level.

Use a short room or stage for rhythmic keyboard parts and a hall for more exposed sustained material. DELAY and PAN-DLY are separate ambience types; Reverb Delay Feedback belongs to those delay choices.

Questions

Something else? Contact support

Can I edit individual oscillators and filter envelopes?
FB-1080's presented workflow is patch selection and effects editing. It does not expose a full oscillator and envelope programming panel.
Does Reverb Delay Feedback change every reverb type?
No. It is a delay-specific control for the DELAY and PAN-DLY types, rather than a universal hall or room feedback knob.
Is this an effect to insert on an audio track?
It is an instrument. Send MIDI notes to it; the EFX, chorus and reverb treat the instrument's patch output.
What happens when the trial ends?
When the trial ends the plug-in stops processing audio until you buy it. Sessions still open, and buying needs no reinstall.
Can I get my money back?
Yes. On top of your statutory rights, there's a 14-day money-back guarantee. Read the refund policy
